چکیده

Airport ground lighting (AGL) systems provide visual reference to aircrafts during airport operations. In AGL systems, constant current regulators feed a beacon circuit supplied through isolation transformers. Component modeling is necessary to simulate AGL systems, and thus characterize and predict their behavior. This paper presents an isolation transformer model including transformer core saturation. Moreover, a procedure to estimate transformer model parameters is proposed. Both the model and the estimation method are validated with extensive measurements on more than 20 isolation transformers of different power ratings and trade names. an Optimum Resource Allocation Model for Airport Passenger Terminals (RESEARCH NOTE)

According to the current Airport planning and design practices, for a given demand level there is a corresponding space requirement. While in practice, there are always trade-offs between cost and levels of service, labor and automation, equipment and fixed facilities, and expansion of existing facilities and the addition of new ones. In this research, the airport passenger Terminal Building (P...

Asphalt Pavement Performance Model of Airport Using Microwave Remote Sensing Satellite

The purpose of this study is to build the binary logit model of an airport pavement that could monitor the pavement condition in near real time using microwave remote sensing satellite, then the relationship between the international roughness index (IRI) of an airport and backscattering values from PALSAR images of the ALOS satellite was determined. Total 390 data were used in analysis. This m...

Extending Operational Zone of Rotary Power Flow Controller by Controlling Tap-changers of Transformers

This paper proposes a method for extending the ability of rotary power flow controller (RPFC) using tap-changer of the RPFC’s transformers. A detailed model of the device is presented to analyze the effects of the tap changer operation on the performance of the RPFC. To evaluate the results, the RPFC model is simulated using PSCAD/EMTDC software. Dynamic operation of the RPFC on a 400 kV transm...

Modelling of Ground Handling Operations at Airport

In aviation, aircraft ground handling defines the servicing of an aircraft while it is on the ground and (usually ) parked at a terminal gate of an airport. Ground handling operations include many activities: passenger handling, ground transport, assistance in blocking the aircraft and delivery of required equipment, loading and unloading of the aircraft, including provision and operation of re...
